WELCOME TO BJ'S PETS CORNER
BRAND NEW FOR 2018

This brand new animal show will give a small look into the world of some animals you can all keep as pets.
the show will be 30 to 90 minutes long.
You will be given some back ground to the animals on show during the event and should you wish to you will be able to handle some of the animals.

I will also give you details on owning the type of animals on show and pass on information of where you can find adoption schemes for pets that need a new home.

COMMON BARN OWL

This Bailey our common barn owl, Hand reared  and born on the 9th of April 2019
She loves to be handled and friendly to everyone.
You can book Bailey on her own for Owl visits to schools and nursing homes etc.
RED IGUANA

Ruby the red iguana is not a first time pet lizard for a beginner, she is very strong and at this time nearly 3 feet long.
She has 120 teeth and sharp claws and a powerful whip tail.
With all that said she is a amazing animal to see.
LEOPARD GECKO

The common leopard gecko is a crepuscular, ground-dwelling lizard naturally found in the highlands of Asia and throughout Afghanistan, to parts of northern India.
CRESTED GECKO

The crested gecko or eyelash gecko is a species of gecko native to southern New Caledonia. In 1866, the crested gecko was described by a French zoologist named Alphone Guichenot. This species was thought extinct until it was rediscovered in 1994 during an expedition led by Robert Seipp
FERRETS

We have 2 ferret's at the moment, one male called Bruce & one female called Sassy.
Great fun they love to jump and run around.
HOGNOSE SNAKES

Hognose snake is a common name for several colubrid snake species with upturned snouts. They include three distantly related genera: Heterodon, which occur mainly in the United States and northern Mexico Leioheterodon, the hognose snakes native to Madagascar Lystrophis, the South American hognose snake
CORN SNAKES

We have 3 corn snakes two females and one male the largest of which is 6 foot long.
Corn snakes are non venomous and come from the southeastern and central parts of the united states
and are often mistaken for the venomous copperhead snake and therefore are often killed in the wild by humans.

ROYAL PYTHON

Royal Pythons are our new addition to the pets corner,
these lovely snake are calm and easy to handle and make great pets.
this species comes from sub-saharan africa and are the smallest of the african pythons, these snake are also non-venomous.



MILK SNAKES

We have one milk snake its a  male,
milk snakes are non venomous and come from the southeastern and central parts of the united states
and are often mistaken for the venomous coral snake and therefore are often killed in the wild by humans.
 RABBITS

these are our pet rabbits Emily & Marley
and they love hugs and being handled as well as lots of fresh hay.

BEARDED DRAGON & OTHER LIZARD'S
There are three bearded dragons in our collection
these reptiles are from Australia


HORSEFIELD TORTOISE

 Horsefield Tortoise are from Central Asia and are also called Russian Tortoise.
 GUINEA PIGS

This is Daphne and Velma these lovely little a animals are brand new to the show and are sisters.

Guinea pigs come from South America and also make great pets.



 DAGU

Say hello to Gus Gus the Dagu this little guy is from
Chile South America
He is the Star of the show


 GERBILS

These guys are called Shaggy & Scooby and are also new to the show.


CURLY HAIR TARANTULA

Tliltocatl albopilosum is a species of tarantula, also known as the curlyhair tarantula. The species' native range is Costa Rica. They are terrestrial, opportunistic burrowing spiders. This tarantula is covered in long bristles that have a characteristic curl to them giving them a unique look.
 HEDGEHOGS

From time to time we do take in undersized or sick hedgehogs and see them through the winter to release them in spring time.

We also have our own
Domesticated hedgehog
The most common species of domesticated hedgehog is the white-bellied hedgehog, also called African pygmy hedgehog. The Algerian hedgehog is a separate species of hedgehog. The domesticated hedgehog kept as a pet is typically the African pygmy hedgehog.
